According to investigators, Alec Baldwin fired a gun from which he killed a cinematographer working on set for an upcoming movie.

Tragic? It is. Do you think this is the first instance of something similar? It is not.

There have been scores of actors and crew members injured or killed on past movie sets like Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee, who was shot to death on the set of “The Crow.”

In Baldwin’s case, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, was pronounced dead on Thursday after a prop firearm discharged on the set of “Rust” in New Mexico, according to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office.

The film’s director, 42-year-old Joel Souza, was also injured in the incident and taken to the hospital where he is receiving treatment.
