Disney Heroes Night: “Dancing With the Stars”, SoYesterday. Tonight was a night of evil.
Tuesday night’s Disney Villains Night was a night of chaos in the ballroom. Stars and pro dancers tackled the worst of Disney villains for the second and final performance.
But the real badness came in a shocking double eliminationThis took out two the most promising and talented dancers on the show.
Like jaw-on-the-floor shocking as the fairytale ended for “Bachelor” alum, Matt James and “Beverly Hills 90210” star Brian Austin Green.
This is what happened on the dance floor.

Iman Shumpert raises his partner to the top of his head
Shumpert’s pure power blew away the judges Tuesday
Performing as Jafar from “Aladdin,” the 6-foot-5 NBA star slowly pulled his partner Daniella Karagach over his head and carried her effortlessly down the dance floor steps. She was playing the parrot Iago after all. So her perch was over his head.
The gold-turban wearing Shumpert put his partner down and scowled fiercely through his Argentine tango to “Arabian Nights,” with flicks and kicks.
Karagach was lifted by Shumpert when it reached the final.
Hough called the dead-lift opening and ending “iconic,” especially as Shumpert had no momentum, all strength. “I’m kind of speechless,” Hough added.
Judge Bruno Tonioli commented upon the “featu of strength” Carrie Ann Inaba, speaking for the audience, said that she was “truly blown away”.
Shumpert said he was nervous, but his partner seemed “a lot lighter than we thought”.
The judge gave him his best score of the season: a 33-out of-40.
Sharna and Brian Austin Green have raised the pirate flag for PDA past
The “Beverly Hills 90210” star and girlfriend/pro dance partner Sharna Burgess found out the hard way that there is such thing as Too Much dance floor PDA.
Their Monday “Snow White” waltz, and fairy tale kisses, brought sniping from the judges. Len Goodman said that there had been “so much cuddling and kissing.”
On Tuesday, the couple shook it up with pirate swords, literally clashing in their paso doble to “He’s a Pirate” from “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl.”
Green’s Captain Barbossa, a faceless man with a rotted nose, lunged at Burgess and Jack Sparrow. The music exploded, the ship’s cannons erupting at shockingly high decibels and there was double-crossing throughout the entire dance story. Burgess literally ran on top of her pirate friend to finish the number.
It was a hit with the judges. Tonioli, a former judge on PDA-critic judges said that “a little bit of hard love works.” You’re moving in the right direction.
The couple’s score of 27 out of 40 was an improvement. They were still dangerously far behind the leadersboard at night 2.
Matt James continues to amaze with “Jungle Book”
As his amazing Frozone performance on Monday proved, the “Bachelor” star is one of the best and most entertaining dancers this season.
James was again in complete control on Tuesday night when he performed an “Jungle Book”-themed paso double as snake Kaa along with Lindsay Arnold. It was a complete snakeskin ensemble, the shirt being opened at the center to expose his chest. James was in villain mode with an intense scowl and scale-covered faces. Judge Hough commented, “You were in it!”
He hit all the moves and the judges gave him his first 8 scores of the season. It seemed that the charismatic “Bachelor”, who is also known for his charm, would be returning next week. Tonioli gave Tonioli small tips that the dancer could refine.
Tonioli of the performance said, “But that was nothing snakey.”
However, double eliminations are fatal to even strong people
Green and Burgess remained in the third place, while the other saved couples danced off to the beat. Because of their low vote and score, Green and Burgess were unable to get their votes. They received their walking papers.
As the blood-letting went on, they left the stage silently.
…and the shocking news kept coming
Arnold and James stood in the last two along with Kenya Moore (Real Housewives of Atlanta) and Brandon Armstrong (pro partner). Moore, who had performed a valiant dance waltz last week, was not in the top two. Judges did not spare Moore but Moore appeared certain to win the vote of the judges especially with James.
While host Banks encouraged speed and credits were rolling, Len Goodman, a stammering head judge, decided the tiebreaker vote. To global surprise, he threw a lifeline to the shocked Moore, who fell tearfully to her knees in joy.
James and Arnold held each other with stunned looks as the show cut.
