Police arrested comedian Andy Dick Monday on domestic violence charges, according to police.

USA TODAY was informed by Bruce Borihanh (LAPD spokesperson) that the arrest occurred on Friday. The 55-year-old was let out on $50,000 bond later that day and is due back in court on March 7, according to Los Angeles County jail records.

USA TODAY reached Dick’s representative for comment.

Monday’s arrest marks the latest setback in the legal battles of “Road Trip” actor Dick. In 2019, Dick pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor count of sexual battery for allegedly groping his Lyft driver, his attorney Daniel Kapelovitz confirmed to USA TODAY.

The alleged groping incident took place in West Hollywood, California, on April 12, 2018, according to a press release from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.

Dick was arrested for and sued in several other cases of groping throughout his life, including one involving a West Virginia bouncer and patron.

Dick had completed a pre-trial diversion program that led to the dismissal of all charges.

In June 2018, the entertainer was accused of groping a woman on a Los Angeles street, landing him misdemeanor sexual battery and battery charges. Days later, videos resurfaced of the actor rubbing Ivanka Trump’s legs during an episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in 2007 and fondling Pamela Anderson’s breasts during a 2005 Comedy Central roast.

In October 2017, in wake of Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein’s fall and the rise of the #MeToo movement, Dick was fired from his role in the film “Raising Buchanan” following claims of sexual harassment and misconduct on set, he confirmed in an interview to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to THR, Dick was accused of “groping people’s genitals, unwanted kissing/licking and sexual propositions of at least four members of the production.”

I don’t like to grope anyone anymore. I don’t expose myself anymore,” he told The Hollywood Reporter by telephone. “I understand that temperature is very delicate right now.”
