The Maroon 5 frontrunner has a surprised look on his face and shakes off the encounter – then mouths an expletive as he walks away.
His response was split by social media fans, some saying they wereHis reaction irritates me.He had to be humble, and others supported him by noting that celebrity artists are permitted to set boundaries.
He doesn’t need to be disgusted at her, he can understand it. His fans are what keep him relevant. He is still a big fan,” said @gavzona on TikTok. Another user commented that he behaved like a child.
Levine took to Instagram Stories Tuesday to address the incident and explained his appreciation for the band’s fans.
“I’ve always loved, respected, and worshipped my fans. Without them, there is no job. Levine stated, “I say this all the time to my fans.” “To think that anyone would believe that I thought our fans were beneath us or less than us makes my stomach turn. This is not me.
Then, the “Sunday Morning” singer explained his irritated reaction was due to him being caught off guard by the situation.
“So I just need you guys to know, I was really startled and sometimes when you’re startled, you have to shake it off and move on because I’m doing my job up there,” Levine said. “It’s what I pride myself on so I need to let you guys know what my heart is and my heart is that connection that exists between the band performing on stage and the fans. “I hope we all can understand this.”
After the incident, some fans reached out to support the singer via social media.
Adam Levine wasn’t being an exaggerator, and he didn’t need to humble himself. He was perfectly normal for someone being non-consensually touched during a set. Twitter: “Consent is important in ALL cases.” @ReaderUnnatural
TikTok user #supermandy.77 commented “She grabbed” him. He appeared to be uncomfortable. As a HUMAN, his right to privacy is a basic human right. I can’t imagine you would feel uncomfortable if somebody grabbed your hand without permission. It is unjust and not necessary to expect celebrities to have a higher status than others.
